Jabulile wants to change the lives of young girls with her NGO

Jabulile Mbatha, is an inspirational young lady, who began working at WSMC 14 months ago. A mum of 3 beautiful children, she has her sights set on changing the lives of young girls in the area she grew up in.

Jabulile Mbatha set to start an NGO called PAD_HER_DIGNITY

PAD_HER_DIGNITY

This NGO will mainly concentrate on helping young women "girls" with sanitary pads especially those that are disadvantaged and those with parents that can't afford to buy them sanitary pads,I believe young girls should be given the opportunity to be themselves regardless of where they come from and whether they can afford a packet of  sanitary pads. They should go to school to learn and enjoy education as they have dreams and want or rather see themselves succeed and be happy for themselves. It will also help them because as they are on their periods, they won't miss a class or lesson, some of the disadvantaged girls miss lessons at school just because they don't have sanitary pads, and  some of the girls go as far as using clothes and newspapers so they can go to school.

By helping the young women they will know that they are cared for, that there are people out the who are willing to help and love them so they can gain confidence, learn and prosper in life.

PLAN

Now the plan is to get enough sanitary pads and give them to primary schools and then high Schools, basically targeted places like Soweto, informal settlement and rural areas if possible. Reason been that some children (girls) rather majority of them who experience periods get to miss a lesson at school simply because they will be on their periods and can't afford to buy the sanitary pads.

Some girls go as far as using a newspaper and while others tear old clothes to use them as sanitary pads, but still that does not help much because underwear tends to get unremovable stains, their confidence changes and they have low self esteem. Most importantly they can't even concentrate during a lesson. While distributing those, children will be given a small hygiene talk and then given the sanitary pads.

MISSION

Sanitary pads are the most important thing in any females life and it helps in staying clean, confident and always being yourself.A clean young lady develops confidence and is able to take up on any challenge she may come across or face, so being clean and having all there is to have when one needs to be in a good hygiene simplifies ones life.
